    I thought the board would like to gaze upon its simplistic majesty.

    Technics new turntable:

    Technics releases a new model in the SL series.

    It will be another 1210 but this time it will be the 30th aniversary model, the SL1210MK5G

    This turntable will have the same features as the normal 1210's but also have a pitch reset and a choise so you can pitch up and down to 8% or 16% (!)

    Further it will have an extra headshell, a safty on the on and of button and there are rumours that it can play backwords.

    It will be delivered in black with a piano lack.

    The light stand will not shine white as normal but it will glow bue.

    small technical error with original post - the server somehow made up a bogus price...hehe...oops

    making a modern deck doesn't mean sticking some blue flashing l.e.d's down the pitch shift... jees u technic chumps are easily impressed :D

    they look like something grandmaster flash would of used 30 years ago.... but hey different strokes for different folks :D

    I have heard costs of £375-475 per deck bandied around, but that is just what my friend at Technics mentioned; that could just be the dealer price.

    Ooh, look at the lovely lights, now I can live with purpose.

    Heard about this a while ago. IMO just a Mk2 with a few pointless features, same as the Mk3 and Mk4.

    I really don't know why Tehcnics have bothered with anything more than the Mk2. How can you possibly improve upon perfection?!
