before we all get on our highhorses and start with the "fuck him, he can fuck off for £60,000 a week" - we WILL miss him and he needs to be replaced. we will soon get found out going into a relegation battle with only 3 proper centre halfs (2 unproven in prem and the other an antique). we should have been more urgent with his contract talks and had today's news 2 or 3 weeks ago to allow time to get a reasonable price for him then go and buy a proper replacement for a proper price.... i predict us getting under the odds for him now and then panic buying.
