Taskbar How do i clean up my task bar?Well natz lil bro's taskbar? Coz its got loads of shite on it and i wanna get rid of it for him,so his commp will run a bit faster..And also how do edit what Programmes start up when the comp is booted up.so it doesnt take ages for the comp to start? Mucho aprecio
For ya task bar just right click on the icon and delete. For the other on the start menu goto programs then there should be a thing called start-up just delete them from there.
to edit taskbar...just click on wot u wanna delate with right mouse button and goto delate.... deletin icons off taskbar wont speed up comp mind.... to get rid of stuff staryin up right click on start menu, go into programs folder...go into startup folder...and delete wotever u dont want in there.... (they are only shortcuts no t the actual programs...)
to uninstall stuff to free up sum space... click start...goto settings...goto control panel...go into add/remove programs... select wot u wanna uninstall...click on uninstall/remove/wotever..cant remember exact button name follow instructions on screen..
wana make it go faster?... 1.kick it 2. defragment the harddrive - start menu, accesories, system, defrag (puts everything in order) 2. disc clean up... right click on c drive.. click properties.. then disc cleanup... 3. delete temp files.. c:\windows temp 4. if ur running windows xp.. delete prefetch c:\windows\prefetch 5. get rid of the porn mark.... those 50meg files cant be doin nats pc annny gud now can it
If you want to disable programs starting up automatically when your pc boots go to start - run type msconfig and press ok. Select the startup tab, take the tick off any programs that you dont want to start up. This stops these programs from running but does not unistall them
This is a good tip but be very careful when doing this as to not stop system processes from starting!!! Its not always found on all windows operating systems!!! But you can if you get a hold of a copy of msconfig place it in the system directory and run it!!!
Take Nukluz's advice and make sure u dont disable necessary system processes or ur comp will go tits up to put it politely

virtual memory.... its the space the pc uses on ur hard-drive as virtual ram... u can change the ammount it uses in the control panel sumwhere.. icant remember where exactlee... cos im ona windows 98 machine.. will send u a pm later with how to change it.. keep ur porn hidden... right click the folder its in.. select hidden... then in the main windo.. goto top bar.... tools.. folder options.. 'do not show hidden files' and ur done...

dirty nat!! anyways.. porn... err i mean virtual memory. to change the ammount. right click on the 'my computer' icon on yer desktop then choose advanced then performance settings then advanced then at the bottom click change.... and change it to whateva siize u like biatchs pc is set to 360meg virtual ram.. if ya wana sum other tweaks for xp.. goto www.tweakxp.com lots of stuff there to speed it up
there is no gud or bad... its just the ammount of space ur pc will use for extra ram.. theres a min and a max setting have min set to about 360... and max set to about 700 just mess about and see which works best
