I recently ran a sweep with Webroot and cleaned up a lot of the crap off my PC but it also removed Sygate from the running programmes at the bottom right of my windows bar (if that makes sense), ie when i logged in both AVG & Sygate would open automatically and be displayed at the bottom right hand side... However now it doesnt and it looks like i have to run it manually every time (even though my options are set to run it upon starting Windows?)

    Any ideas?

    Either:

Go into webroot, click 'shields' on the left, click 'startup programs', check 'edit startup programs', make sure 'smcservice' is checked.

Or go back to the options in sygate, check 'automatically load sygate at startup', click ok or whatever, webroot should alert you that 'smcservice'has been added to startup, click 'keep'.

Don't meddle around with options that you don't understand, if you don't know what something like smcservice is - learn to use google.
