Actually, just got prices from GNER's website now. If you can travel from Newcastle @ 12.07 and leave Leeds @ either 19.40, 20.41 or 21.41 and book 7 days in advance, it's only £7.50 return!!! Bargin! 3 days before's a tenner!

Got my ticket now, jumping on the train down about mid day. It opens at 2pm but best get there early to beat the ques. Took ages tro get in the last time!
