Sunderland in talks with Hull's Turner Sunderland hope to sign Hull defender Michael Turner before the transfer window closes Sour Grapes Phil Brown said on Sunday offers currently tabled were "getting towards a ridiculous valuation". This can be taken as hes leaving and your fucking gutted
Or that they paid £300,000 for him & you's are offering over £5 million He will be a massive loss for Hull. Decent signing for you lot. Still not that sure on him like. Bit hit & miss. I suspect Bruce could help sort that over Phil Brown
Good example of lazy scouts. Plays well in 3 or 4 games, all of which happen to be against Newcastle. Its all he is known for! "Ryan Taylor of Wigan, who you remember only ever scored against Newcastle"
I may be biased though i am massively impressed with Bruce's transfer dealings this summer. Within the last 24 hrs, we have sold McShame for £2 million and Danny Collins for around £3 million, and brought in a player in Turner who has spent the summer being linked with Liverpool and an England call up for around the same amount of money. A massive step up in quality if ever i saw one. I also saw when i got back from Leeds that the signing of John Mensah from Lyon has been completed over the weekend, a defender ranked as one of the best in the french league and coming from Lyon on the back of winning the league last year, and cost them £7 million only a year or two ago. He is raising the bar all over the field, and isnt showing the same loyalty to the dead wood that other managers have, and has been ruthless in getting rid of the shite and has brought in players who have made some of last seasons first choice players into this years squad players. Apparently there could be another 3 or 4 going today, and the players linked with moves i would pay for all the fuckers taxis to their respectively linked clubs.
Im gutted about Collins and Tainio to be honest, however I dare say Bruce knows more about football than me
