    Sunderland fans last night

Disgrace! Were on the team's back from the off! Heckling players constantly! A lot left after the second goal!

If these fans are going to leave early or shout at their own players then they shouldn't bother going to matches! Sunderland were never going to stay up this season as they don't have a prem standard team! Mackems should get behind their team regardless of performance or results and enjoy being in the Prem!

For those that think they're not showing enough passion or commitment then you're wrong. Again, the team isn't good enough so just go support your team. I thought Mackems were supposed to be up there with Newcastle in the support stakes.

Also, I left at the end and there was no traffic jam. I was back home in less than 20mins and I live in North Tyneside.

i stayed until about 85mins. As for as your opinion on the fans..why should fans not have their say ? At the end of the day its them who pay the players wages. Yes, we were more than likely gonna go straight back down but i believed we would at go down fighting ! I don't mind it that much if we get beat but play well but of late we have been nothing more than utter shit. The fans play hundreds of pounds....and for what....to watch us go straight back down...........FUCK THAT!!!! I have had a season ticket since i was about 6 or 7 and the team we have now IS THE WORST SUNDERLAND TEAM i have ever seen.

Yes 'true' fans should follow their team regardless BUT if we are getting turned over (and not just by premiership teams!!!!!) why should we not tell the team/players what we think ? If you spent £400 on a holiday and the hotel was shit, the resort was shit, what would be the first thing you'd do when ya got home......COMPLAIN!!!

Newcastle are one of the most fickle support in the country. They boo there own players and manager every other season.

Apart from the fact that before the FA cup exit you'd won 2/3 games and the only loss was a great performance against Chelski

Well I don’t think that’s true for one minute, I think the fact Newcastle fans are fed up of there team not delivering they’ve spent 49 million for an injury list, were the best in the country

lol newcastle fans are no different to any other set of fans, the attendance records history show that newcastle fans arent the passionate powerhouse they claim to be... newcastle fans are fickle, just like boro fans and all other clubs fans especially with recent history.

the best fans i have personally witnessed are portsmouths.

lol newcastle behind their team? us northeastern fans are famous for our boo-boys and hammering our own team! listen to the 3 legends and read the fan sites, we're some of the fussiest and fickle fans in the world :D still im not sying its a bad thing and the north east is undoubtably passionate, but almost every set of fans can claim to be more passionate than the next.

never, most of the new breed of dissenting newcastle fans only started going under keegan... before then attendances were far lower. thats not loyalty its glory hunting... although middlesbrough and sunderland fans share the same experience.

newcastle fans have the same ups and downs as all others.
