    He is.
I hope Sunderland make some good signings this season.
I really like the whole setup there. Hated Keane as a player(Liverpool fan), but he seems to be going about it the right way. The board seem spot on too.
Quinn obviously loves the club and the fans which helps alot.
Not like those yank cunts we've got in charge.

Chimbonda and Malbranque would be good signings, cant say i know too much about the others if im honest.

Im still hoping to see Bent in as well, a young irish (surprise ;) ) lad has signed yesterday and im sure there will be another couple in by the time the season kicks off.

Chimbonda's on his way to Sunderland now to discuss terms with Keane, so it looks like that one will go through. He will be a decent signing for yous- never wanted him at Newcastle but he's definitley better than what you've got at the minute.

I'd rather you play McShame at right back in the derby matches tho...

A lad who works at the training ground has posted on a fans forum reckons there is 5 players in for talks today - Chimbonda who was also in yesterday, the lad from Cork who is completing his medical this morning plus 3 others (Malbranque and the other lad from Tottenham likely to be 2 of them).

My plans for the day - get some cans in and sit and watch sky sports news

Id personally chip in to buy out Mcshame's contract, hopefully he will never kick a ball for us again :dunce: ;)

I fucking cannot stand Chimbonda and him joining the SMB's will just fuel that hatred granted him and Malbranque will be two decent ish signings.

Least Keane isnt letting the Irish / Celtic / Man Utd connections slip with a 5m bid for Darren Fletcher apparently due ;) and constant rumours if links with Saha !!!

I cant see why we need so many midfielders if im honest, if we sign Tainio & Malbranque then surely we dont need Fletcher as well unless hes expecting to get rid of a few.

Would much rather see a centre half and a centre forward come in instead, id defo take Saha personally as if we can keep him fit he could be a quality signing :cool2:

If Man Utd cant then i dont think you's will ;)

Was half expecting "i rate him to be honest" which is normally the few words said when you's are linked with someone :p

has darren bent been totally ruled out now? as a newcastle fan i dont mind you getting players like tanio, kaboul and chimbonda (esp for the ££ your playing) but i think malbranque and bent are good players that could do well for yous, so i hope you dont get them :D

Na we're still hoping tbh mate, i think its hanging in the balance though waiting to see what happens with Berbatov/Keane supposedly on their way as well.

Everton are supposed to be in for Bent as well, so im also hoping that if he goes there that clears the way for Andy Johnson to come to us.

One of Bent or Johnson alongside Jones would be a quality pairing for us IMO, and with the likes of Malbranque/Richardson/Tainio/Reid/Edwards in midfield should hopefully see us comfortably away from the bottom 3 all season and pushing towards mid-table, which is definitely the aim for me.

Malbranque is a good player, just not quite up to the level we are aiming for this season.

Same goes for Tainio but hes pretty injury prone.

Chimbonda is a complete tit but cracking going forward.

3 top signings for a team looking for stability in the middle third of the table.
