    Bye bye Uefa Cup. :(

    Bye bye 4th Place (possibly)

I cant see us beating Valencia without Bellamy. Whether we even get to the final is another matter, Marseille will be favourites in our semi now.

I still say "possibly" with regards to 4th Place, because it seems no team wants to win it. We've a game in hand on Liverpool, who also still have to go to Old Trafford and Birmingham, before the final day showdown with us. One of the less fancied teams could still nick it.

Poor fucker looked heartbroken as he limped past us. :(

It was just about the only thing that got the Villa fans excited during the whole game..!

Bri, yours and Pikes reaction to this, in a strange sort of way shows what you think of Bellamy, ie fantastic and very important player.

Nice of you to admit it though.

Basically, if it was Ameobi, you wouldnt even have mentioned it.

You are only so delighted because you know deep down how good he is. :screw:

Its very similar to the old cliche about "fans dont boo bad players". Robbie Savage gets lots of stick, but the real reason hye is such a hate figure is that every fan who boos him would actually love him to be playing for their team. Bellamy is no different.

a wee bit mellow-dramatic to suggest marseilles are favourites NOW because bellamy is injured. (i always thought marseilles were slight faves cos of the home advatage in the 2nd leg)

however, it's not all doom and gloom. bowyer is now available and when bridges came on yesterday i thought his performance was quite encouraging.

it'll be tough, but it's certainly not a write off. i predict bellamy'll be fit for the final if we get there.

    gutted for him yesterday though.
