Don't expect me to comment on any of that in this thread, this is just to let everyone know what's going on Listings wise)...








SUMMER @ THE COSMIC BALLROOM

During the Summer months, the Cosmic Ballroom has decided to fight the credit crunch head-on in an effort to repay all of the clubbers who have continued to support the club over the years...


As a result, we are excited to announce that we will be throwing a series of FREE PARTYS on FRIDAYS in conjunction with some of our favourite local promoters.

Friday 24th July - BALANCE
Friday 7th August - AudioHussy
Friday 14th August - Grenade
Friday 21st August - TBC
Friday 28th August - Live & Able
Friday 4th September - B.R.A.




As well as this, on Saturdays we've returned to our original Music Policy of House / Techno / Electro in the main room and our famous Anything-Goes Backroom... PLUS...

...WE'RE REDUCING ADMISSION ON A SATURDAY TO A MERE £4 FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SUMMER!!!


You can also rely on severely reduced drinks prices, all of which should add up to some serious partying (which, given the global economic crisis, i think we're all entitled to!!!)



After the Summer you can well expect to see some serious physical (& operational) changes to the club, as well as the return of our familiar partys including Jaunt & KlickKlack and the addition of one of the nations biggest and most well respected/loved parties (we should be announcing who any day now)

fucking hell lads, all geoff's trying to do is advertise some nights, you lot have turned it into full-on gang warfare against some glass collector

As I said, at this moment in time I'm forbidden to comment on ANYTHING that is about to happen at the club.

However, I think It's pretty much out in the open that there's been a massive change in who's making the decisions at the club over the last few weeks.

As such, it's fair to expect some major changes at The Cosmic Ballroom in the coming weeks and months.

The people in charge have been listening to the Clubbers and I can say that all of the legitimate points raised on this forum and elsewhere have been looked at and are being addressed.

Thats not to say that everything that's been said on this board actually needs addressing, but issues with prices, hire costs, door staff, sound etc have all already been looked at and some significant changes have already been made... plus, the process of sensible and necessary change will continue.

Despite some of the more vocal elements on this boards obvious dislike for the venue or the way it is run, I'd say that there is definitely a contingent of board members who have been to some of the monumental parties that have been held at The Cosmic Ballroom, who have a genuine love for the club and who will be pleased to hear that the club is about to reach its full potential in providing high quality clubbing for people who legitimately care about the Music.

It's those people I'm speaking to here i suppose.

I will say one thing (for which I'm likely to get fucking shot!)

... as a sign of intent, It's worth looking out for the absolutely huge brand who are coming on board in October.

Security should be the ones on the look out for illegal drug taking.

If the club had any clue they would employ people that knew there role.

Im sure there wouldnt be half as many complaints if it were doormen doing the kicking out.

The lad in question is probably doing more harm than good - at the end of the day its the club that will suffer most.
