they have got a good line up down there this month...

but the security is all perverts... every time i went 4 a piss they were in there, watchin...

I couldnt believe it when they handed me a flyer!!!! I said to them if u flyer for them why aren't u there 2nite...and then it clicked.....its such a shite club that it cant get a license past 2am meaning they have time to get up here after it closed!!!! It isn't on like...they should have been stoned!!!!

Oh btw noticed that the flyer says Eddie H on the 24th January!!! But I thought he cancelled!!!!! OOOPPPSSSS!!!

Look guys i am a a former SugarShack regular who has also discovered the joys of promise, SugarShack may be going through a very bad patch in its history but when promise reaches the heights that the `Shack has over the yrs. then you will be entitled to slag it off, it looks like maybe a little "war" has started with promise & G.G @ T.T`s joining forces & the `Shack closely following promises line ups + the mysterious cancellation of Eddie H. - Should be very interesting !!!
BTW the `Shack is fully entitled to flyer outside of promise & in that respect they have done nothing wrong, likewise there`s nothing stopping Promise flyering outside of the `Shack.

P.S Guy O tore the `Shack apart on FRI!

Yeah well i cant defend the bouncers, they were up to their usual tricks on fri. night, harassing ppl. in the toilets etc, most unnerving! Most bouncers these days are the proffesional sort who are there to protect you, it seems the Empires current bouncing team are a throwback to the bad old days !

If Ornadels tore the roof off then id hate too see what would happen if Matt Hardwick ever played there , but sadly seems Hardwick limits his sets to Promise / Slinky / Crasher so Sugarshack can have John Kelly instead - Penfold isnt even good (Ornadel) and @ Crasher on NYE he played "Joydontstop" yeah like thats from the Wet / Discotech time

Look mate IYO SugarShack has had its day, maybe it has, but you cant really say that for sure, as we cant predict the future, can we!
As for Guy O. maybe he might be not be quite in the form that Matty H. is @ the moment, but in the past b/f Matt got his later slots & played prog. he was`nt even in the same league!
Guy was awesome on Fri, playing a very similiar set to what he did when i saw him @ PaSSion in dec. when he made Ferry Corsten look crap, NYE was obviously a bad day @ the office for him & he was seen to be absolutely "wankered" behind the decks, but then that is an absolute collectors item as previous to this i cant recall anyone ever criticizing the man!

Hardwicks never failed to impress whatever he played - whether it was the late set @ Gaterasher or the warm up, getting pissed is not fucking excuse when its ya job to do a good set what would happen if u went to work pissed or off ya nut

I would get the sack, if i could`nt keep it under wraps! But, i think you`ll agree DJ`ing is a unique profession where the normal rules dont apply, anyway i see your fave DJ is the god PVD, he`s my fave too, i first saw him @ the Orbit in Morley in `94, seen him countless times since, Amnesia 5yrs in a row, u going to see him @ PaSSion on feb 1st?!?!? - Talking about PVD he`s not been immune to the odd bad performance down to the drink has he, several times come to mind, GK 4th b-day `01, Amnesia `01 & Radio 1 Sheffield arena `01!!!

P.S Matty H. might have played good warm up sounds back in the day, i never appreciated them as i dont like warm up sounds...EVER! Now he`s getting peak time sets his brilliance is showing!!!

PVD / Hardwick id say are two of the best Mxers in the game and as for tune selection then it speaks for itself !!

PVD when he played @ Sheffield 01 for Radio One was totally mortall which again seems daft - i wanna go to Passion like on the 1st Feb but i will have to see what happens with ££ and if i can get there, was gonna go Heaven in London but nowt will beat the first ever Gatecrasher London where Van Dyk played 12-3am and destroyed the place, Ornadel replaced Hardwick coz he was due on but instead came to Promise for there Birthday - Orandel was shit tho so we jumped in a taxi n went !

What have you got against Guy O? - Reports i`ve heard of that set & there were a few of them, are that Guy O. actually blew PVD away & to do so must have played a blinder!!!
PVD Sheffield radio 1 rumours are that he was so pissed he climbed on top of his car & then fell off the back!!!

I dont like Guy Ornadel because every time ive seen him he's started ok and then towards the end of his set played utter frommage which to be honest is more suited for Ikon ya cant fuck up on big events like NYE @ Crasher too and by all respects its not as if he's gonna be short of a classic or two is it seen as he used to play quality sets !

Fair play, each to their own, he still tore up the `Shack though..........

He must be doing summit right coz he's still getting booked and has a follwing hasnt he - just not my cuppa really, whats the crack with Halliwell has he just cancelled or is there reasons ??

shack peeps obviously found out that promise has one of the best crowds so decided they wanted to try and steal us from promise!!

I dunno for sure, but its a bit fishy is`nt it, he`s got residencies @ both Promise & G.G & they`ve just united together, they probably had a word with him & this resulted in the cancellation, all in the name of competition i suppose, anyone know any different?
I`m not botherd myself `coz i`m on nights fri. & would have been upset i could`nt attend!

i've flyered on behalf of promise outside the shack before.

was after lisa lashes sometime last year.. boucners were fine with us doing it.

out of pure bordum i went to the shack last week cos it's only 5 mins away and it was total shite!!

john kelly was 'not too good' and the crowd was shit and the bouncers were ass-holes!!as per usualy really!!
