Nah mate, if the likes of Blakey was given the full backing of the clubs financial muscle & allowed to put on the line ups he wanted, they`d be infinitely better than that & the `Shack wouldn`t be in the sorry state it`s been in for the last 3 to 4 yrs, trouble with the `Shack is - they`ve got the same promoter & the same way of doing things they`ve had since day one, back in the day, when the scene was buoyant the club almost ran itself, little or no effort was made on promoting the night/the lineups, they didn`t need to - it`d fill up week in week out, sure they had big lineups from time to time, as they do now, BUT back then people would attend the lesser nights aswell, nowadays things have obviously changed & their approach hasn`t even a bit - they just aren`t prepared to make that extra effort required to get things back on track, if they didn`t actually own the club itself, they`d have been turfed out yrs. ago, it`s only the indie night on a saturday that`s keeping the whole thing afloat:rolleyes:.....

The town's not exactly the best either.

The likes of Sanchez, Morillo are guarenteed to draw in a crowd ... where as the likes of Hardwick & co aren't. Woolfood, Buckley, Hardwick .... are miles better dj's than Sanchez & Morillo, but it's the two shithouse dj's that can fill the place.

The clubs been refurbed over the past few month and looks a lot better. I'm sure someone who's been there in the past month can vouch for that.

The Wooly night is picking up, there was about 150 in on the first night (I think), not sure of the figures of the second night.

I meant Blakey is the only person who promotes it, not runs the place or does the bookings:lol:

Heh, the Woolford & Buckley night usually has a few free entry spots going ... if there are any I'll shot one your way.

Also: Just to let Joe Public know, Sanchez is doing a 5hour set this Friday ... I can't seem to edit my post
