why would he leave southampton to go there!! leave a team who are doing well chasing a place in europe, to join a relegation battle with fuck all money it would be the worst move ever!! plus southampton will do anything to keep him.
He kept Southampton up dunno why he wants to go to Leeds. Maybe he wants to prove that he can get a team up and running again. I still think it's over 4 Leeds tho.
He's fallen out with the top man at Southhampton plus the rumour is some Asian or Sheek bloke has cleared the debt and is going to pump in £50-£60 MIL after Xmas. Light at the end fo the tunnel. Plus can Strachan achieve any more at Southhampton - I doubt it.
Strachan is one of the leeds greats. he's always loved the club and the club and fans love him. If anyone can come into that locker room and inject some passion into a lackluster (sp?) side - he can. it's a great move.

that rumour about the shiek has been doing the rounds for ages now, thought it was just shit. didnt know he'd fallen out with the chairman aswell. i think southampton have loads of potential as a team, they have gone from relegation battling team to a decent mid table team. there main aim is to get to europe which i think is acheivable. where with leeds u have basically got to rebuild the team. and it needs a big money investment to do that. so the shiek will have to come up trumps i suppose the sentimental factors will be the the ones that will take hime there. he's the right man for the job. but if the money doesnt come in and his team dont sort themselves out. it could be the worst move ever!
