Strong rumours he is top of th Newcastle wanted list and interestingly his odds have dropped from 25/1 to 7/2 over night

I don't see why he would go to Newcastle when, at Boro, he has arguably a better squad, better training facilities, his own staff and set-up, a historic first season in Europe and a chairman willing to commit money to the cause. A successful season this season at Boro and McClaren could name his price at any club that wants him.

Funny that, Another paper says Sam Allardyce is the top man for the job, then another says Alan Curbishley.

Seems to me once again names are being named and its all rumours, I doubt even the Newcastle board will know who they want just yet.

the pollution is affecting all the smoggies logical thought processes .

In 1 paper its Shearer, another George Graham, another Sam Allerdyce , another bruce

I would have strachan or venables till end of season and then we can get Shearer or Martin o'neil but if Man U dont win owt Oneil will be off to Man united after Fergie is sacked.

Just please not George graham or Houllier

U could see MacLarens defensive tactics last nite for England. Throw away a 2-0 lead so take off one of the better players and replace him with a defensive midfielder when we need to be going for a goal, instead play for a draw.

MacLaren would be shit at Newcastle, you dont have a good enough defense

We needed stability in the centre, not a playmaker who is world class one week and invisible the next.

Dont get me wrong, i'd rather have juninho than not and he will always be a boro legend, but times change and I dont think he would continue to have the same impact, which would tarnish fans memories of what he did in the past.

I'll still remember him dancing with the cup :D
