    Steve Caldwell

He has been superb over the last few months and last night put in one of the best defensive performances i have seen for a very long time, he won everything and in the end Jason Roberts just gave up even trying to beat him.

    Re: Steve Caldwell

It will be interesting seeing Steve in the Premiership as he was a fooking disaster for Leeds.

That support last night made me proud to be a Sunderland fan it was fucking unreal, i dont care what anyone else in the country says there are only 3 clubs capable of taking over 8,000 fans to an away match on a Tuesday night and they are Sunderland, Newcastle and Manchester United.

If its a game which practically wins you the league, of course your gonna get the numbers

I couldnt imagine arsenal / chelsea etc wouldnt have 8000 travelling fans if it was the game that won the league ?

that has nothig to do with it - fact is, its a tuesday night game and we had probably 9,000-10,000 fans with us....takes some doing ;)

I honestly dont agree that either of them would take over 8,000 fans to an away match midweek

I edited my post, i dont believe either of the teams u mentioned have a fan base fanatical enough to take that many fans to an away match midweek, just the other week when Chelsea went to Blackburn they were offered the whole stand and only took 2,000 and even at that time they knew they had basically won the league.

If Sunderland had of been beaten last night they would have only been 2 points clear wouldnt they ? (sorry im not clued up on the championship table)
Chelsea have been a fair bit clear for what seems like ages now

Sunderland - Wigan was a huge came, and possibly the decider of the league, Chelsea - Blackburn was no where near as important for the Chelsea fans cos as far as most of them are concerned they won the league months back

I think he means Jason Roberts is poop & having seem Roberts in the Premiership I would agree he was cack, but then so was most of your team either @ SAFC or other clubs they took down.

It will be intresting to see if MMc does something like KK did & dump some of the players like that were responsible in getting to Sunderland to the Premiership. I think you have already said Stewart should go, room for anymore?
