    stereotyping among the scene...

would u say the trance scence / hard house and so on (NOT hardcore) is more associated to the old skool rave culture or the towny style beer heads of late??
i mean, when i go raving.. pretty much 100%.. if not damned close to 100% r using A class of some kind.. es/wizz/posh whatever... without being 2 stereotypical - its a scene that is predominately awash with drugs...
i know many who r into hard "dance" style music.... some which i find decent, who never touched a thing in their lives, likely to go to such places in nicely ironed shirt, polished shoes etc and get that pissed they cant stand
surely this causes friction amongst clubbers who do all the cyber dressing up / plastic raver theme etc... an imbalance of the clientel attending maybe????

I've always maintained that it depends on which music you like depends on drug of choice - funky = coke, hh = pills & k etc but saying that just recently everyone seems to be doing everything, i know ppl who like hard core rap who do drugs whilst listening to that. practically everyone i know - including the ppl i met in the pub i wk in do some form of drug.

There will always be a distinct hatred between "proper clubbers" and wannabe clubbers (i.e rockport wearing redstripe drinking arse wipes)

are you trying to suggest people who are on drugs/do drugs cannot socialise with those who do not?

    thats bullshit tbh...

    yeah this is my point!

ive never been to a trance / hardhouse night.. the music would just wind me up i think..

but there seems to be an uncertainty of the revellers that scene attracts...
my question is.. is this right?? i mean, surely an imbalance of gurning ravers & pretty boy beer heads is gonna result in trouble??? or a scene with no real direction?? not sayin this IS the case... as i dont attend such nights... is it?

I agree - i have mates who don't do drugs and still come out clubbing, one of my mates did a tidy wkender only on beer and stayed up longer than me!

It's just in clubs - i think strangers can't get along when in clubs if one is wrecked and one is drunk as they're on different wave lengths and don't know how the other works.

(But not always - exceptions to rules and all that...)

naah not in that sense mate..

but more the direction in which a scene moves u know???

hypothetically, i think if hardcore venues were to start gettin half full of pissheads the scene (which in manys opinion is dying anyway) would take a certain turn for the worst...

why can't we all just get a long, won't someone think of the children ;)

I've been clubbing for 7years now, and only ever seen two fights (excluding bouncer's being twats) and they were both between beer boys getting rowdy.

 i love how about 4 different people have come up with a totally different answer to a totally different question cos no-one was quite sure what he was asking

but if you have a decent door policy then you wo'nt get the dicks in... an if you let a few in the door staff can get them out quickly if they're doing anything...

What the are you babbling on about 118?

It's people like you, desperately trying to stereotype and define each 'scene', that lead to the problem in the first place.

If you like a certain type of music/dj, then you'll go to that kind of club/night. Why should it matter what drugs/drink your on or what clothes you're wearing?

And I still don't get what your point/question is?

ffs take a chill pill.. i ARENT stereotyping..

im wanting to know if the 2 sorts of clubbers attracted to such nights clash?? i dont go to those nights, hence asking people that do???

    u know??

Kev its a load of shit. I go to rock bars all the time wearing clothes that "dont fit in" and nobody turns a hair. likewise with me. I personally couldnt give a fuck. its YOUR night out, why the fuck should you care about shit like that?

You are stereotyping by saying that one type of clubber goes to one night, and another type of clubber goes to another night. Do you know what the word means?
