Start button gone crazy ive got a laptop with XP on and after it boots up and i click the start button it shutsdown , also when i click it it sometimes opens the control panel crazy things are going on! ive virus checked it and sorts, but not found anything that would do it anyone seen the problem or got any ideas? cheers
basicly what i was thinking because, the lass whos laptop it is spilt a drink awhile go, dried it, but theres a few things happening that could be caused by a sticky keyboard cheers
do you know the crack about replacing laptop keyboards? ive been trying to have a look at cleaning it, on some there are some clips just on the side of the keyboards, flick them and the keyboard lifts up, but cant see any clips on this one and the user manunal says feck all
hhmmm no idea.. it probs will come away, just attached with a ribbon cable, but i ain't got much experience. will be a total dismantle job. once it's totally dry, some switch cleaner might be able to make the contacts better - if it's not chuffed. get the model and google some geek forums for advice... there might be something around

Aye, it's "drinks" spilled on keyboards, is it? Take more care when handling "drinks" near your keyboard, or use a sock.
It could prove a lucrative business - cleaning people's keyboards etc. Maybe I'll start one up, I may call it "Mr Spooge" or summinck. There's gotta be money in the spilled monk business
