Is this the one u can use to control cdjs as virtual decks as well as vinyl turntables or am i thinking of sumit else ??
Nar, you cant do this with this. This 'maps' MP3's and other music files onto a special vinyl or CD. so you can play them as if you were playing a record or CD Clever stuff like !
yeah so u actally use the cdj or deck to control the mp3 on the laptop as if it was an actual cd or vinyl , or is it all controlled from the laptop ?? without having any extra hardware plugged in ?? i could be interested in this lol , just to add to the collection of top quality dj set up ive got that i use about twice a month lol
edit :- ive just read the link and it is wot i think it is , ill pm u when ive checked my bank balance lol
What happens is, the Final Scratch unit thing goes between your laptop/PC and your mixer. It comes with Traktor DJ software that you run on ya laptop. You simply drag a music file onto the left or right channel and the track is mapped onto the special vinyl/CD instantiously. You can do everything you can with a normal vinly, scratch, backspins, take the needle of and re-cue in another part of the track etc. There's loadsa other cool functions like creating loops and that but Ive never used it to the max. Have a deeky at some video's on YouTube http://youtube.com/results?search_query=final+scratch+2 Dam, typing all that has made me want to keep it,heh
