possibly the worst ground ive ever visited bar the hawthorns?

ive seen more atmosphere at a village cricket match...

so where are all these super passionate geordies we always hear so much about? you dont even have any songs ffs.. the biggest cheer came at the end when the donkeys where paraded round the pitch by grandpa and the 'stadium' was 1/4 full...

without our fans it might as well have been a snooker match...

passion? you geordies haven't got the first idea.

the atmosphere can be good... but it isnt a patch on how it was... the move from 32,000 seater to 52,000 sacrificed the atmophere. :(

and it was one of the best... anyone who seen it previously is a lier if they disagree...

yeah i heard this excuse before (boot boys in the milburn) but then ive been to villa umpteen times which is a big stadium and its got a far better atmosphere...

stadium of light wasn't much better than sjp last time i went tbf bri... but then i saw u play coventry so fair do's :p

old trafford and st james park are the worst grounds ive been to for atmosphere by a long stretch..

well, excuse maybe but the atmosphere was legendary for a reason - it was that good... they moved people aroun in favour of the fat cats and now the atmosphere is mostly pooptash.

the psv eindhoven match was electric mind... i liked that one :D

there's certainly no lack of fans there... always rammed... but the sound level just seems low... some say that the lop sided stadium design 'leaks' sound... although how valid a claim this is i dont really know.

I think north east teams fans are some of the more passioante in the country on a day to day basis and through showing colours etc... but all three teams have flat stadium atmospheres at times... personally, I think the removal of terracing reduced atmospheres considerably... but this was inevitable due to the problems associated with terracing.

i went to watch bradford play newc in the FA cup a few seasons back and it was silent until you scored the 1st goal... then it was pretty much like any other game until you scored again an it went loud...

twas almost defaning when you scored but apart from that it was quieter than a 3rd division match.

one day ill take you to a midlands match and you can see how the home of football does it ;) none of this family bolox..

my main beef with newcastle today was the lack of noise full stop.. the wolves fans where singing all the way through - i felt proud to support a team whose supporters are as vocal and passionate considering the circumstances - i dont think any one in the ground today could deny this... maybe its just the 'orange' i dunno ;)

have you been to old trafford?

i got some freebies from *a sunderland player* to see them last new years day... the atmosphere was gash bar a small group -the '1954' club or somethin...

attendance means sfa... the hawthorns has an awesome atmosphere especially on weeknights and it only holds 26 thousand...

my happiest football memories are of watchin albion when i was a kid in the old 3rd division...

 im off to wash my mouth out

Have to agree. Its like that more often than not now. Thought the Wolves fans did urselves proud.

Not surprising tho when Bobby insists on playing Amoebi when he blatantly has no talent, Ambrose when he's blatantly not good enuff, Robert when he blatantly needs dropping just to bring his ego back to earth and Viana.............just because.

Stay for a lap of honour at the end, they said. FUCK THAT!

i used to get to at least 5/6 away games a season before doing my a levels!! Old trafford's atmosphere is awsome if your in the away end!! theres only a section of there fans that sing through the game and they sit in the stand right next to the away fans.

Got to agree!! thought the wolves fans were awesome yesterday singing "going down but coming back up again" and trying to start a mexican wave. However the toon fans are like that as well when they go away.

There was fuck all atmosphere at sjp yesterday and i'm not surprised to be honest, fair play to shola tho cos he set up our goal even if he's shit half the time.

Thought Bowyer had a good game goes to show that the first time he plays bowyer in his best position he scores, time for Bobby to retirte and let some young blood have a crack imo!!!

Thought the booing of Robert off the pitch was just about right did fuck all all game again yesterday, time for him to fuck off as well! Fair crack Vianna hasnt played to well recently but booing one of your own players onto the pitch is a fucking disgrace. Doesnt do the kids confidance any good and wont make him play any better so whats the point just making things worse.
