lol speakin of squatters, do you know if they enter your property without forcing their way in, you can get done for kickin them out!

My mates farm house had squatters so him and few rugby mates just went in after dark and brayed them all!

it changed a few years ago to the current situation where by now a squatter can extinguish an owner's title deed after 12 years by completing a statutory declaration. at the moment squatters have the right to apply to become the legal owner after 10 years of adverse possession of a property.

to have adverse possesion of a property, no forced entry can be made, and they have to fit or change the locks. they also have to have to have utility history i.e. proof of utility bills to prove they are using the property as a home.

this change has nothing to do with asylum cases, i don't know of a single case involving an asylum seeker claiming squatter rights. more bullshit were asylum seekers are concerned, why don't you join the BNP? :p

honestly don't know, however a landlord who realises his property has squatters in, has upto 10 years to evict them lawfully even if they had changed locks etc..

it is only after this 10 year period the law prohibits them from evicting them until the matter has been decided by a court.
