    Re: Spyware popups?

Download and run Ad-Aware. You can find it at www.download.com

It gets rid of most but I'm sure some peeps are reporting that it doesn't get rid of all. You may need to reformat. You gotta watch what your installing. Anything with GATOR is a big no no.

    Try it anyway.

Gator is just a bent spyware thing, pretty damn annoying but nothing to worry about as such, can easily be removed.

Nope - No need! - use AdAware and Window washer, gets rid of all the crap! ReFormatting is a pain in the arse and it would be mad to reformat to get rid of spyware since it will only come back anyway!

Window washer is particularly good, you can download it HERE, just scrool down to near the bottom where it says Day3 - Its the last option in that section.

you will need WinRAR to extract it, which will also be very useful in future for other compressed files. Download WinRAR HERE

Its very effective, certainly worth a download!

Also get pop up stopper its very effective.

    I use all three lol.

search for laser eye correction i guess

some sites have loads of popups cos thats how they make their money. Companies etc pay them to spam you with pop ups.

Very annoying but they can be blocked!

As a general rule, from IE, go to Tools > Int Options:

Delete all cookies, all offline temp internet files, history. Also wipe out any recient document lists ot download manager lists.

Thing is, even if you do this, chances are that because any internet usage comes through a main work server, anything you look at/download will be stored on there. But this in turn depends if your IT bother looking through the internet usage files.
