    Spurs release players

Spurs have released Gus Poyet, Christian Ziege and Darren Anderton.

I hope we have some decent replacements lined-up! Was nice to see Ziege roll back the years on Saturday in his last appearance - he got a great ovation at the end.

Am particularly sad to see Anderton leave as well, part of the furniture after 12 years. Pity about all the injuries - was a great player in his prime. Will defo head down if the club give him what he deserves - a testimonial. :king:

But without the gold signets and sovereigns he just wont have the same allure as Sir Glenn  ... shame about Daz leavin but let's be honest mate he hasn't actually contributed a great deal over the last few years and he ain't gettin younger. Same with Poyet and Ziege. Injuries playing a part I feel.

    Replacements?

There's no chance in that, he'll only go to a top 4 club not a bottom 4 one.

    Glenn = legend :worship:
The trap is officially out of the running so I'm hoping the other rumour whores are right and it is O'Neill

Sad to see Anderton and Ziege leave, I hear Andy Reid is lined up for the left-wing slot. And I would guess at Van Bommel coming into the centre, but we'll need more than one centre-mid player coming in this summer.

thank you but no. Although we have bought players with great technical ability in the past, they have lacked athleticism and pace.

The geordies I feel have gone the other way and bought athletes but not footballers?! We won't make that mistake ;)

    Latest O'Neill news

Doesn't seem like the move a manager would make planning to go to a less than average Premiership team.

Just posting the recent news from Paradise - Larsson came back from a worse injury than that so why not Amoroso.

Might not work out but knowing O'Neill it could be genius. :king:

Haha karma... ziege gets what he deserves... hope is search for a new club is stressful and highly unrewarding

He was my main reason for disliking spurs after the fact my ex supported them... :D

you have no reason for disliking them now then eh ;) :p

Ziege though was a quality player, great footballer though a tad lazy at times. The reason you hate him is cos you know he was that good for you lot and then Liverpool and then Spurs

I only hope we get in someone with anywhere near as much quality.
