Spqr I know that SPQR is Senatus Populusque Romanus, and translates as 'The Roman Senate and People', but i need info on why the romans had a logo and no1 they were killing did! did they win becasue they had a stronger corperate identity and the other side just lay down when they saw the logo? why dont i no how to use the internet. i need the whole history of corperate id and as far as i no, this is one of the 1st examples but i need more! more more more! sumbody help!
i doubt it was because the romans branded themselves and was more due to a series of factors: *the location of rome and its seven hills as a strategic advantage in terms of infrastructure,defence, and trade capabilities. *the fact that the roman army was a paid force so that soldiers could still sustain their families in long combat campagnes *infrastucture and communications links were engineered in such a way that distance was not a factor when supplying the army *and instead of just conquering other armies, these 'conquered' soldiers were then integrated into the proffessional army, which then incorporated many military tactics to improve the battle capabilities of the roman army *geek signs off
