just got nailed the other day 60 quid and 3 points for speeding...yes i know its my fault but still annoying...the pig was hiding behind a bush for crying out loud....ive heard theres some new law coming out where u get less points if u just broke the speed limit. ie. 33-34mph or whatever..to late for me like...

any1 know about this....
also when u pass your test u only start with 6 points... how long is it before u get your full 12 points or 9 in my case....:evil:

They're talking about it yeh. Its stupid in my opinion tho. Its OK to speed a little but not a lot? Fuck that. Speeding is speeding. End of.

so doing 31mph in a 30 is as bad as doing 60mph in a 30?

it doesnt really make a difference at the speed u are doing over the designated speed limit....ur still speeding!

My point was they can't make some speeding more acceptable than other cases or that'd make a mockery of the whole system.

yeah true! but its taking the piss if its a 30mph zone and your doing 31mph, and the police pulls u and fines u for it! there just filling time.

This should not happen as you are allowed to be 10% over the speed limit. The reason being the speedometer in the average car is not that accurate

Except that most speedos are over-enthusiastic, meaning that you think you are going faster than you actually are. So if you think you are doing 36mph, but you are only doing 31mph, should you be let off?

not if they get the zero tolerance they tried to bring in a few years ago. 10% is still only 33mph in a 30

they already do that, if you get stopped on a motorway doing between 70-85 you'll get 3 points and a fine, get stopped over 85 and you'll more then likely end up going to court and get upward of 6 points and a bigger fine.
By changing the scale of points and fines all they are doing saving on court time and making more money out of the motorist

and when you knock a little kid crossing the road over, you'll change yours!

i got caught doing 34mph... 4 mph is is hardly makes a difference lets be honest.... if u hit a child a 30 mph its still just as bad in my opinion
