Newcastle dismiss manager Souness Newcastle have announced that Graeme Souness' contract has been terminated with immediate effect. The Magpies have won only one point in six Premiership matches and are only six points above the relegation zone. A statement on the club's website read: "The employment of Graeme Souness has been terminated with immediate effect. "And an announcement will be made shortly regarding transitional arrangements pending the appointment of a new team manager." Souness took charge of Newcastle in September 2004 after Bobby Robson was sacked.
This is true. It's his first step on the Managerial lader. They are looking to bring in a full time replacement for Souness in the Summer.
Thats nothing new about shearer though, hes been in a player coaching role since the start of the season.
until the players start to take some responsibility for their major lack of ability the team is gonna be doomed for a long time. souness didnt make any good from the team.. but its gonna take the next manager a long time too. lets hope the fans can give this next boss some time
