    Sony MDR-V700

Really to people who have bought a pair of them this year.

I bought my pair quite some time ago when they were at daft prices (think they were £110ish about 2/3 years ago), now they have dropped the prices of them, has the build quality of them been diminished? a friend of mine bought his about 6 months ago, he takes care of them really well and doesent bash them about - however regardless of this, both sides of them have cracked and the leather on the ear-cups has cracked really badly (which initially sparked my suspicion). as i mentioned i've had mine for near 3 year and they're still bang on. not cracked and the leather is still as nice as it was when i bought them. and i throw them everywhich way when i get the chance.

was going to buy a new pair and keep the old one's as spare, but i'm having second thoughts now - it's a shame since they've been the best one's i've had.

(no i'm not getting senny HD's. they're fucking fisher price)

Why do you want a new pair if the originals are still going strong?

as a spare set - since i feel like they're so old now, it's sod's law they're going to break soon.

plus i'm sick of being stuck without them when people lend them.

hd25s are incredible, my only problem with them is the non-coiling cord, but i've had mine for about four years and love them, i had the pioneers before that.

the sony 7506s are mint as well, although they used to be difficult to get hold of over here. the 700s are awful.
