"some of the most advanced software the police have ever seen"

These were the exact words used by the BBC tonight. Which is rather funny.

The report was about some sick 36 year old posing as a teenager and going onto chatrooms and bullying teenage girls into sending them naked photos.

The report said that once the guy had the victims email address, he was able to use advanced computer skills to hack into their pcs and "open files, move icons around the screen, and even open open and close the cd drive - the police described the software as "some of the most advanced they'd ever seen"

I mean come on. Sub7 could do that...what...almost a decade ago?? Me and my mates used to fanny about with that on our old PC's for a laugh.

"One of the girls said Ringland's level of skill and the power he had over her PC reminded her of the science fiction film Matrix."

It's poorly researched bollocks like this that makes people so damn shit with computers!

(ps i am only laughing at the technical reporting)

    Full story... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/derbyshire/6133360.stm

Hope the guy gets bummed every day.

"One of Ringland's victims described the ordeal as internet rape"

Is it wrong to laugh at that?

I remember Sub7, someone got me with it when I first got the internet in 2000 - the screen went black and the green Matrix style writing started typing at the top.

    'Hello Neo.. shit wrong computer.."
