Some kids are just so unlucky

Baby named after Black Cats boss

A Sunderland fan has named his new-born son after the Black Cats' manager Mick McCarthy.
Jock Campbell's son McCarthy Campbell is now 16 days old.

He had wanted to give his son three names so his initials would spell out SAFC, but his wife suggested giving their son the first name McCarthy.

Mr Campbell is originally from Hetton-le-Hole, near Sunderland, but has lived in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, for the last 10 years.

Mr Campbell said his wife had made the suggestion because she had not liked the idea of giving him the SAFC initials.

He said: "My wife wouldn't have it but then she said what do you think of McCarthy and I said yes straight away, so we ended up with McCarthy Campbell.

"Some people thought we were joking. My grandfather didn't like it at first and thought it was a joke, but the rest of the family was OK."
