    Somali Pirates

WTF Are they playing at? someone needs to tell them about the British well fare system. All this mucking about in the water with RPG's is unneeded.

2 British citizens have now been announced there on board one of the ships (which is the perfect excuse to send in SBS/SAS), will be interesting to see what happens within the next few days now.

This kinda thing happens all the time.

They will probably pay them off with a lesser amount and all will be fine :)

Yeah its been happening for years dont u watch the news while mixing in yr bedroom my Proud?

If they where going to "send in the sas" they would have done it to secure the cargoship laden with tanks and rocket launchers the skinnys captured about 2 months ago.

The goverments have been paying the ransons as a norm on these actions... not sure why decisive action isnt being taken must be political, no one wants to upset Africa at the moment.

One of the Brits captured is a Durham lad.

No ones ever been "executed" by the skinnys as yet in these situs as far as a know.. its getting out of hand now and the size of this ship makes a boarding very very easy so maybe they might make a example of the dirty buggers and unleash some MP5's on them. Hope so I love a good shoot out

ps. MOS thats wht i thought when i saw the ship lolololol night vision iv clocked it on Goldeneye too

Its the vessel companies who pay the ransom not the goverment.

Get your facts straight, aslo with the value of the tanks (Old russian shitty things which were bound for an african country to fight a civil war) against the £100m in oil is a big difference we might see more come from this, but again the Saudi owners are looking to pay the ransom as it ensures the saftey of the crew, this stuff has been happening all over africa for the past 15 years and no one gave a stuff untill it came on BBC.

Also if you read more into this the shipping companies are very wary about arming their vessels.
