My mam's going to that. :D

Not a lot for me over the summer, I'm really skint so need to try and manage without a holiday until probably next year. Going to the V Festival though so at least that'll be a break from work. And I'll probably try and have a few more local days out, there's plenty to do in the north east so gonna stay a bit closer to home.

Guilfest next month .... no dance music there though. *SHOCK!!!* Although Will Young and the Happy Mondays are playing ;)

Then Glade Festival the week afterwards.

Wish i was going to Glastonbury though. Went last year for the first time and absolutely loved it :( If this weather keeps up it could well be one that people talk about for years to come!

I've got fuck all planned though probably won't be doing any festivals so i can see the only thing me doing is sat in my room. Fan on, windows open. Strongbow ice cold and watching England regain The Ashes :king:

    I'm quietly confident of a 2-1 win.

Not sure what the selectors are thinking by the teams they picked for the Ashes/Warmup/Lions though.

Panesar is playing for England v Warwickshire and he's out of form and they have selected Onions for The Lions game against the Aussies, they should have kept him back as he will probably start the first test and they'll get a sight of him.

They've left Harmy out the Ashes squad too and put him in the Lions squad despite the fact his form for Durham is outstanding and Bresnan did fuck all against the Windies.

Bizare. But we'll still beat them.

harmison deserves to be left out of the ashes squad i reckon, as do monty and sidebottom. we have a chance to get the ashes back if we play the right bowlers, which means dropping the 'big' names who are out of form, and selecting the younger and newer players like jimmy anderson and graham onions.
i'd go with this: strauss, cook, ravi, kp, flintoff, collingwood, prior, broad, swann, anderson, onions. that's probably the best team we have at the moment. we have a big-hitting first 3 or 4 there, and down to broad are decent batsmen.

as for my summer, i'm pretty much doing nothing. i've just finished uni, i've already been to newquay for 5 days to the summerbreak festival, all i plan to do now is make some money and get myself a job with half-decent wages. i fancy ibiza, but i'll probably knock that on the head in favour of saving as much as i can to travel indefinitely next year, starting with india.

we have a good pace attack i think, Broad, Anderson, Flintoff, Sidebottom and Onions are all more than capable, but its spin and medium pace that worries me. Swann, Panesar and Rashid dont look good enough consistently at intermational level.

also we lack a consistently good w/keeper who can bat. i dont see the logic in putting james foster into the 20 over side for the T20 then resorting staright back ot Prior for the tests - Prior should have played for the experience

I am doing Cocoon in the park this weekend, Leeds Festival in August and then Frankfurt in October.

Would love to have a cheeky week on the isle in September too though depends on the ££'s situation and with also doing Frankfurt i reckon the isle could be a bit too much :(
