    So Newcastle fans

Two monumental matches coming up for you lot, hows your nerves holding up ??? do you look forward to these games or are you a nervous wreck ?? what do you honestly see as the outcome from the two matches being??? if Souness manages to lead you to one of these trophies he will be seen as a hero but if he fails do you think the pressure will be on again for him to leave? afterall its looking more and more likely that the only way you will be in Europe next season is if you win one of these trophies, is none qualification for europe good enogh for Newcastle with all the money that has been spent ? and if its not will that be the reason Souness will have to leave ?

if u remember souness was told they expected "almost instant success" - so i would safely say if he fails to win any of these 2 trophies he could be a gonner....

its going to be difficult, but they COULD do it. as long as your in it u have a chance....hopefully tho, true to form, they will blow it as usual

very poor season with regards to the league, newcastle fans are either:

    a) kicking themselves and gutted
    or
    b) realising that they aren't actually 1 of the big boys?

i wouldnt like to say which....

i think we might get beat 2-1 tomorrow night against sporting, go through on away goals (may scrape a draw if we're lucky) but then we'll still have villareal to play so winning the cup is a tall order!! much better chance of winning the uefa cup than the fa cup though.

i think we've already lost against man u... n i've never said that before a match!! fair enough they got beat 2-0 off norwich but did you see the line-up?? plus they always bounce back after results like that. dyer and bowyer out which would've definitely been in the starting 11.

just as the club were movin in the right direction something happens within the club and spunks in our face and fucks up the season. same old story.

as you can probably tell im not really confident about things at th mo

and i think most newcastle fans will admit we aint onea the big boys anymore. on paper we should be, but we dont play as a team and until that happens we never will be

I'm hopeful that the Geordies will pul it through in at least one of the competitions, would be nice to win both, but that's highly unrealistic, but it would shut up the mackems out there. I'd still say we were a big team.

I don't know why you mackems don't want us to win anything, I know there's all the rivalry n stuff, but it's in competitions you are not in, and I'd personally love it for Sunderland to come into the Premiership, even if it's jsut for the Derby games :D

You arent a one of the big boys anymore...that much has become clear

As for us not wanting you to tin any trophies...of course we dont!!!! Your lot wouldnt (shouldnt) want us to win anything either!!!

Loving it for us to come back into premiership so we can have derby games again is hardly the same as wanting us to win the uefa or fa cup

i wish Souness would leave now.....

i think we may be destined to be a mid table team for ever under souness.

they are likely to enter into europe through the intertoto if they fail to qualify through either of the cups, that is as long boro qualify through the league, or that they finish above boro.

i would expect both clubs to qualify through the intertoto if they enter into it.

but if we get knocked out of both cups this weekend, then we have nothing again and finish mid table and wont be in Europe next season... would you be happy with that?

personally i think he needs one more season...a full one
