my work has enforced a smoking ban as of today

proper nobbers
not even allowed to smoke on our luch break unless we leave the premises
soi just went and stood of site and got a bloocking for taking the piss as i was just outside

not fair and not a happy bunny

shouldnt smoke anyway.

Tell them to sort their fucking lives out. You were outside if the premises, therefore you did what they said.

When I worked at the hospital they did this, and people used to have a tab just outside of the gate, or on a public footpath that ran right around the hospital grounds. The chief exec. whinged, but there was fuck all he could do.

I don't smoke and I would prefer if people didn't, but Christ, don't take the piss. If the government really wanted to stop people smoking, they'd criminalise cigarettes. Why don't they? Because it's their largest source of capital.

So people can smoke if they want to but not so other people have to breathe it

If they are going to ban smoking in public places, surely they've got to include pubs,thats where its needed most. Most offices and restaurants have designated smoking areas anyway so it won't make much difference to them

I'm a reformed smoker but even when i did smoke i hated smoke filled rooms/pubs etc! I would have had no problems with standing outside if this ban had happened! I also had respect for none smokers, i would never smoke in a non smoking household even if the person who owned it said i could.

i'm an ex smoker, and i can categorically state i am no richer.
