i was going to email you all but i havnt got all your email addresses saved in my hotmail and its too much of a faff....internet connections in india are dismal!

got so much to tell you guys though this place is amasing so could someone get everyones email address's and send an email to everyone including me...then i will just have to press reply all and i can keep in touch with everyone! am i a genius or what!

i've done so much i cant beleive ive only been here 2 days, went into the slums before and we were just crowded by the children...they shout all their english words and us and come over and shake our hands. i sat on a wall for hours playing clapping games with them and they taught me a new one "hello mr, hows your sister" lol....and i had a look round the orphanages and put some of the lil babies to bed....rachel would have loved that lol (apart from the stench!)

we can make this thread my keeping in touch thread then seeing as you lot are lazy buggers!

p.s not a chicken korma in sight! just curried cabbage 3 times a day...mmmmm, managed to find a juice bar and ordered a juice....i ended up with an ice cream...which im not allowed to eat as they used unpasturised dairy stuff

no lol they dont speak english, they just know a few words like hello and what is your name...and a few songs obviously taught by former volunteers

india is weird....you dont get nice areas and bad areas, you can have a mansion in one street and then a shanty town in the next, where we are living is lovely, but all of it is kind of....undeveloped? i dont know how to describe it! even in the town centre its very eastern with a few western things like internet cafes but you just get mauled by beggars everywhere you go....its so hard brushing them off with your hand but if you dont you would never be able to go anywhere ever again!!

this is one of the places i work at....the population is 3000, theres only about 500 houses.....theres another 300+ slums like this but much bigger and we have to cover healthchecks on 700 families a month and also deal with the mother and baby clinics, eye clinics and other sick people

Apparently I've picked the most popular time to fly to India so even the most moderately expensive flights are fully booked! Doh!
