    Small world

Does anyone on here find that everyone seems to know everyone else you know, in some way, as if everyone's linked?

Like you meet someone for the first time, someone that you've never heard of before, and it turns out they know people you know!

This keeps happening all the time with me, it's weird!!!

You're only 8 people away from knowing everyone on the planet apparently

I started talking to this bloke at Habit, turned out he met my sisters fiance when he was down in London...and theres 8 million people down there

When i worked at Orange I dealt with this guy who knew the mum of my best mate from when I was about 7...but he lived in the Highlands of Scotland and my mate lived in South East England :spangled:

My favourite one is when I went to WaxOn ages ago, my flatmate introduced to his mate Ben. The conversation went

    Me: Where are you from?
    Ben: Scotland?
    Me: me too, Where abouts?
    Ben : Aberdeen
    Me: Me too, where abouts?
    Ben: Peterhead?
Me: Me too, which school did you go to?
    Ben: Mintlaw?
    Me: Me too

didnt know him at school at all

Went to Uni in Leicester with a lad called Darren (originally from Worcester)- when we finished he moved to leeds and i moved to Newcastle.

Scoot forward 2 years, First IT Job, working with Vandenburg, Speaking to Darren via email, tells me he's moved into a flat with this geordie lad who's a good laugh, apparently they went out that weekend and Darren pulled some lass and couldn't wait to get back to tell his new flat mate he's finally got his 'brown wings'

At this point The Van leans over and says his mate has just moved to Leeds and got a flat with a southern lad and they'd been out that weekend on lash, he then tells me this new flat mate only went a pulled some stinker and kicked her back doors in!

Me : "err... what? is this lad called Darren?"
    Van : "err.. yeah"

Our 2 mates had got a flat together in leeds without knowing each other - bonkers.

I can definitely see how its true

Just think how many people you know
    how many people they know
    how many people they know
    how many people they know
    how many people they know
    how many people they know
    how many people they know
    how many people they know

just say for arguements sake that everyone knows 60 people

i think you'd probably work it out by 60 to the power of 8, could be wrong

there are duplicates because you share friends but i still reckon its not far from the truth.

Obviously there are exceptions to the rule i.e. sad cunts like you but cool cats like me make up for it
