slow peecee....

    slow peecee....

    rite... check out my beastie specs... ;)

    1.4 gig proc
    128meg ram
    windows xp



    why does it take 4 mins :eek: for it to startup?..... and the onlee reason i havent beat it up yet is cos i have the patience of a saint :D



    any tips/tweeks much appreciated...

    i know more ram wud help.. but im a skint stoodent who wud rather waste money on dancing in a dark room than my pc ;)

    my pIII 450 with 128 meg ram is faster than my xp machine :confused:


    pah.. ok then.. where can i get sum cheap ram from... :D

    XP will only just run with 128meg.


    Do you have loads of apps that load on startup?

    fuck it.. i'll upgrade to 256 or 517 if i can afford ;)

    i supposed with all the progs i use i shud have it anyway....


    never buy a tiny pc kids.. they bum rape u and then laff. :(

    while we're on this subject do you have to get pentium 4 specialist memory if you're running a pentium machine, or can you just get cheap oem memory. i only ask coz the price difference for 256 MB is about £70! :eek:
