skype I uninstalled this a week ago and now whenever i first switch my pc on it brings up 2 boxes, 1 asking for my login & one asking to sign up... Its getting on my (.)(.) :evil: Any ideas how to get rid?
Why did you put it on in the first place? If it's part of the kazaa-skype bundle then you are really silly, and you'll have a hell of a job removing kazaa, skype, and about 3000 other spyware threats from your system... If it's just the normal skype program, make sure it is not running when you uninstall it - close it in the system tray. Then go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall.
Did you check if it was still running before you uninstalled it? If it was - it won't uninstall properly. Your best bet is to re-install it, then uninstall it again (making sure it is not running in the background)
Just in case you are interested dod9y i got rid of this (it was already uninstalled as i'd thought) by running Webroot it also got rid of a lot of other crap which had been annoying me
Cool It's a bit weird it was hanging around though, as the normal skype program isn't supposed to be spyware, and isn't supposed to worm it's way around so you can't uninstall it... hmm. They could be up to summinck.
