Hmm well, I’ve never lost any recordings yet.

The weather thing I agree is a bit naff, but I’ve had it 3 months and had one occasion where the signal was lost for a few mins, and that was in extremely heavy rain and thunder storm. Occasionally get “no satellite signal is being received” – seemingly randomly, but nowt major and rarely happens to me.

HOWEVER – You have been misinformed about not being able to watch recordings when signal is lost. I have done this myself (incidentally during the afore mentioned storm, I was watching half an hour behind the real time program, it mentioned that recording had been interrupted, but still played even when there was no signal)

No I cant log into it over the net. Alas series link takes care of everything I want to watch, so I can’t forget to record it if that’s set up. Typically as soon as I see something I want to watch I add it to my planner.

Sharing content to the network isn’t important to me, but it would be good. Playing back media from other sources doesn’t appeal either, I have a PC for that!

I do watch a lot of the channels, loads that I don’t, but still. We have multi room, so yes the total bill is £50 a month, but I pay £25 for mine, and my mam pays £25 for hers.

£25 a month for Sky+ on the top level package, in my eyes, is excellent value for money.

(But nee chance I’d pay the top whack to have it on my own, I agree that’s not too good value.)

I have absolutely no complaints about it, really think its very good.

Besides, I have no choice in the matter. It’s sky, or shiteview. No cable round where i live.
