    Sky HD Question

A friend of mine has Sky HD, was watching yesterday and I noticed her TV was set to 720.

Went into Sky settings, and changed the HD res to 1080i.

The TV then showed that it was 1080i (pioneer), but then when i pressed the Sky button again, the screen flickered and then went back to 720.

Any ideas? Surely it should be able to run in max res?

Some programs are only broadcast in 720i - sports and things - perhaps you were watching one of those?

laz has an LG telly - he watches the footy on 1080i no problem - except it's a bit jumpy... try 1080i on discoveryHD - it might be the telly autoselecting.

or you don't really know what you're doing.

opening a menu and selecting one of 3 options doesn't really require much "knowing" really now does it!!

    Hmm it was BBC HD.

Conway - every time you turn it on a massive box pops up telling you the current res!

Was watching sky sports and couldnt really notice much difference, and Sky1HD looked notcibly worse than normal!!
