mine has been fine. would like a faster connection but that is due to where i live in relation to the exchange, not sky's fault.

    cannot grumble for free.

apart from having to reset the router every couple hours i think its good. I have the top package for a tenner and get good download speeds.

my boss has done it - and yes, if you're in the 'free' area that sky offer their free broadband then yes, you'll save some cash!

Only downside with Sky is that you will get a router supplied by them and a service tied down to that particular piece of hardware via the MAC address coded in the router. So if you're an I.T. type person it basically stops you from using your own equipment on the end of the line like I do. I think they're currently using the netgear series routers which are pretty good though anyway.

You can use pretty much any router with sky, it's just that your username / password are hidden in the router you get from sky - they can be pretty easily extracted - there's a guide here:

    http://www.asininemonkey.com/netgear-dg834gt-hacking.html#URL_Injection

You can then just put them in your router and should work fine.

I get just under 8 meg speed which is as good as I can get in my area. Never had any problems at all
