Yes kids being Caned in school is good

it's sad that violence has to be resorted to, but at the end of the day it's the only way some folks listen.

That intimidation and physical violence are an acceptable means to getting your own way. As humans learn by examples what are we teaching our children if we tell them its perfectly normal to beat someone if they aren't conforming to the social norm.... I bet all those in favour recieved the belt of their father... As this is a cycle those that were beaten sympathise - those that weren't think its cruel.

Besides for every child that is beaten with a cane, you are not just hurting them physically but it can also lead to long-lasting anxiety, social withdrawal, night terrors, and severe depression.

In cases like the one highlighted this isn't a child who has been given too much leeway, this is a child who has serious problems - what will beating him do?!?!? And if u say well its more for the kids in school - well when caning was legal it was usually the idiot who couldn't spell his name or the lad that was talking that frecieved the cane...

The most difficult children are often the most helpless. They cannot protect themselves. They need help, not hitting.

and for the record, i was hit, my brothers were hit, and none of us have ever been in any sort of trouble with the law, whether that is a reflection on the way we were brought up i dont know.

The thing that stopped me misbehaving as a kid was my dad threatening to belt me if I ever stepped out of line. And it worked, but thinking about it now i dont think he ever wouldve done it if I'd ignored him.

I say bring it back. The kids that aren't major problem kids it will work for but there's nothing that can be done for the really bad ones. I don't think anything will ever stop them.

Most of the kids Ive seen that are messed up are like that cos its the only way they know. Cos their parents dont give a shit. Granted there are some who have psycological problems which have nothing to do with their parents, but most of them are that way beacuse of the way theyre brought up
