Personally i think he is a good player. He ran the game when he came on for portugal against england. Think this is due to the pace of international football being much slower than that of the premiership. He is good on the ball but struggles to keep up with pace of the premiership and his off the ball work is poor. If we can get a decent price for him i think selling would be a good idea...

Viana seems like he's a fans favourite for his glimpses of skill. He's not done naything to prove or even suggest he's a player to anyone outside the toon.

i really dunno hes aparently a class player but hasn't showed anything at newcastle that would make me think hes anything special, maybe thats down to a lack of first team football which you need in the premiership, or maybe hes just shit

he would probably move to one of the lower sides in spain or italy, them leagues i think would suit his style of play more. As for them wanting him i dont know, maybe his recent international form will create an interest

i think he deserves a better chance than wot hes had! he hasnt played that much for us! hes had injuries with his shoulder and now that robert seems to b pickin up his game viana isnt goin to b playin!

to be honest he had as much chance as most of the other young talent we have, they took their chances he didnt, he gets caught in possesion of the ball far to much, doesnt have too much pace, ive never seen him run at players, and hes obviously out of favour with robson who has his little favourites, so i think it would be best for the club and viana if he moved on
