    Shindig veterans needed. Apply within.

    I'm doing an article about Shindig @ Foundation on NYE and I need some Shindig veterans who are going on NYE as well to answer a few questions, which are:

    Are you looking forward to going back to Foundation one last time?

    What do you expect from Shindig at Foundation at NYE?

    What made Shindig at Foundation so special in your opinion?

    What are your favourite memories of Shindig at Foundation?

    Have you got any more slightly more bizarre/random memories from your time there?

    Which DJs do you think most sum up Shindig at Foundation?

    If you would like to answer them (in more than a few words!) then please PM me your answers or reply here. Your name and how long you have been going to Shindig would also be helpful.

    Been going since 2002 ish.

    Yes, very much so. It will be an emotianal evening. (so long as my mates bloody decide to go lol)

    Loads of that "back in the day" atmosphere that is so greatly missed.

    The atmosphere and a genuine sense of well being from the crowd

    Definitely the atmosphere, and the darkness!

    Being covered in rust coloured sweat dripping from the rafters.

    99% of the people in there went to dance first and foremost

    What are your favourite memories of Shindig at Foundation?

    Yousef dropping "all you need is love" followed by "so much love to give" at midnight a few new years ago

    Dj Spen rocking the place

    MAW blasting out backfired

    Lottie ending her set with Lil' Louis - Club Lonely

    David Morales ending his set with his def mix of deam lover

    Paul Woolford being class evertime he was on

    Phil Cooper Playing "all night long" in the bar upstairs

    Dancing my ass off as craig dewson played disco in the bar upstairs

    The residents parties the first week of january being well up there with the best nights of the year

    Have you got any more slightly more bizarre/random memories from your time there?

    Danny Rampling getting off the decks and coming down and having a dance with everybody else at the front

    Realising the bar shut at midnight one bank holiday so filled my pockets with as many cans of red stripe as possible at 11:55 then spending the rest of the night carrying them round

    aye was gonna say i've realised i've got far more special shindig memories in the 3 years I went when it was the riverside than the whole 6 odd years it was foundation :eek:
    starting to feel like a proper old fart :lol:

    by the way Si the derrick carter dropping fame moment you mentioned was back in the riverside days, april 97 I think

    Shindig was the first club night I ever went to, this was back when there was no foundation and it was the riverside. Oh the memories!
