    SHINDIG THIS WEEK

    YOUSEF / NEIL BAINBRIDGE

Yousef represents the first wave of “new” big name DJ’s to break through around a decade ago. His refreshing attitude and approach ,which is still evident now, was a catalyst for this young Liverpool based DJ to fire his way to the top. Now, a bit older, Yousef still has the motivation to push the boundaries even further with his world renowned club night “Circus” pulling in some of the biggest line ups seen in the UK if not Europe.. As always he will be on form this week.. do not miss!!..

first off i love shindig and have had some of the best nights out ever there (riverside and foundation really), but i am not gonna ever set foot in digital again.

i have read thru the pages and pages of utter and total bollocks from "mr. stone" and "digit-al" and they (the people pulling strings whoever they might be) have made every single person who backed them look like a right pile of tits.

to think only a few months back people were singing the praises of the revolutionary boys taking it back for "the people". where's the mr stone et al who were implementing radical changes!! where's the all new door policy to keep digital free from shit bags?

one of the shindig flyer people tried to tell me that hanger 13 was a "private party", who exactly do they think they are fooling?

am i the only one who thinks that since the "big bad faceless corporation" was ousted thing have progessively worsened?

oh and roger sanchez? 2many djs? yeah nice one mr stone, where do you get these new fresh bookings from?

what an utter pile of shit.

to say your not coming back to shindig because the club has decided to put a night like hanger 13 on is pretty childish imo.
things will be business as usual for us as far as im concerned.
its me and lee who have stand on the door most saturday nights trying to help with the door picking anyway... not a job we enjoy but it has to be done

as for roger sanchez thats my booking not dave stones so direct your comments at me please.
on the subject of sanchez if it wasnt for djs like him pulling in big numbers i wouldnt be able to book people like tiger stripes, satoshi tomiie, marc romboy, neil quigley, jim rivers, jesse rose, jimpster, martijn ten velden, anthony papa, scope, rene amesz, will saul, laurent garnier.

people like you boil my fucking piss

Im not happy with Hangar going to digital and really hope the rat bags dont start going to other nights. I dont particularly like digital as a venue but it wont stop me going to see dj's i want to see.

I think you're being a bit snobby with regards to sanchez - he may not be as prominent or musically uncompromising as other DJs, but he's done well to get to where he is and deserves some recognition for that...

so what if he's not your cup of tea? 2manydjs and david guetta don't exactly do it for me, but you don't find me slagging them off to kingdom come.

thing you have to remember is that the club (and to an extent the nights too) are all businesses. Whether a large corporate club or a long-running clubnight, the people involved have to put food on the table and pay the bills (and have enough money to keep the night going).

Thats a tall order and I take my hat off to anyone who can do it (I've only ever done one-off nights locally before and just organising those is a fucking nightmare!)

Some of these lineups guarantee the survival of both the venue and the nights that call it home.

I may not approve of digital having hangar13 on the go, but if it means the club stays financially solvent and it means shindig has a long-term home, whats the problem with that? The chavs can buy as many digital alcopops as they want (as long as they don't start knifing people at the next evolve ;))

Noones forcing me to go see mc waxxa hew and dj cowheed. Likewise, noone's forcing you to go see roger "dirty" sanchez.

If you think you can do better - set up your own night.
