gareth.. at times square we had 3 rooms/stages to experiment musically with..

at baltic square you have one stage....

that is why the first part of our birthday is at digital on Saturday 29th April with Sharam From Deep Dish for something a bit darker...

then this one on the next bank holiday....

due to many reasons its very difficult for us to go back to times square just yet....(not impossible tho)

and I know many people prefer the baltic as a venue.. so you cant keep everyone happy all the time..

I just hope its great weather and a great night out like last year with Masters at Work!

Thats fair enough hope it does come back to times square one day though

Rememeber seeing lawler and dubfire in the old powerhouse it was pitch black you could hardly see past your hand. Atmosphere and music was brilliant

The only problem with the Times Square one was the outrageous drinks prices, thanks to the Powerhouse etc, which wouldn't be a problem anymore. If it does go back to Times Square at some point in the future I will definitely consider making the trip back up from London for it. Particularly if Dubfire is on again!

    yeah that was scandlous

it was that bugger who own sugar/twist/baron and baroness.... we agreed prices as he was doing the bars.. and when the event opened he stuck a quid or a quid fifty on top of everything..

proper milked the "rave" crowd he never usually gets in his venues...

again.. one of many reasons why it was difficult to go straight back there for the 13th Birthday..

well, the quicker it gets back to times square the better.

i just think going back to the baltic is a bit of a regression, but i understand the politics invloved.

the times square line-up was class, nice and varried.

    hmm maybe

but you dont know the half of it mate..

personally I dont see how the baltic square venue is regression with the sage/bridge and arts centre surrounding you....

but yes more variation would be better, but for now it cant be helped
