SHINDIG 18: SASHA & GUY J @ DIGITAL , NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE, FRIDAY 11TH JUNE

Shindig 18th Anniversary- 18 Years In Clubland - Sasha Returns.

Shindig returns to Digital on Friday 11th June with someone who’s also stood the test of time along our 18 year journey…Shindig is extremely proud to announce the long awaited return of Sasha, who will be joined by Tel Aviv’s finest tech export Guy J for what is set to be a date to remember in 2010’s clubbing calendar.

From The Haçienda to Renaissance to Twilo to Delta Heavy; from Renaissance to Northern Exposure to Global Underground to Fundacion; from "Higher Ground" to "Xpander" to Airdrawndagger to Involver....Other superstar DJs have come and gone, fresher faces have since taken on his once pin-up role and progressive house has risen and fallen, but Sasha and his never ending innovation remains at the forefront of the scene and we welcome one of the biggest Dj's on the planet back to Shindig.

Standing proud of a reputable 18 years cultivating club land, Shindig has trodden its own path from the old World Headquarters (Club Afrika) where it all began in the 90’s, to now celebrating a major milestone in throwing parties for its loyal mix of night crawlers.

Over two decades in its long and illustrious career, amid various walls and open spaces, Shindig has boxed an uncompromising vibe together with a genuine subculture that is cultivated not bought. Since way back in 1992, Shindig has been responsible for bringing the best talent across the House, Techno and Electronic worlds to the North East; Mention the term “House Music”, amongst Newcastle's proud cobbled alleys of clubbing and Shindig’s reputation will most certainly come up in conversation.

    And if that wasn’t enough…

Shindig’s 2010 Tour powered by Pioneer will be visiting our favorite clubs and venues across the UK and as far as Dubai; rolling into Circus (Liverpool), Back To Basics (Leeds), Sankeys (Manchester), Yello (Belfast) Digital (Brighton & Newcastle) Ultragroove (Edinburgh) Koola (Newquay) Riff Raff (Middlesbourgh) and more to be confirmed with our tightly knit residents and uncompromising Shindig vibe.

As clubs come and go, with today’s scene a far cry from the early days of house music, what started as a small party for friends; has firmly stood the test of time …

Shindig18 – “Growing Old is Mandatory… Growing Up Is Optional…

Sasha is a class booking but

this sentence more than any others represents all that is wrong in clubland today

"Shindig’s 2010 Tour powered by Pioneer"

true underground music does not need sponsorship!

Doesn't Sasha cost 15-30 grand to book tho? Is there any other way around it these days unless you bite the corporate bullet?

I have to bite my lip slightly at this comment.

I think Shindig, bearing in mind they've been going for 18 years and have constantly managed to balance huge bookings, Essential Mixes, international club dates while also sticking to their music policy, deserve a bit more credit than (in your words) "selling out to Pioneer".

I'm sure if you could stick "Powered by Pioneer" on the bottom of the Detox flyer it'd be there in font size 72.

    Bold.

once again your commenting on something you know nothing about melt.
like scooby said there is no financial gain from the pioneer deal.
We are getting a new djm 2000 mixer and 2 cdj 2000's to play with
all you have done is confirmed what a prick you can be :)
