    As my first act upon arriviging home for xmas, I just accidently deleted loads of pictures off my dads computer, whats the best way to undelete them


    i held down shift when i pressed delete so they aint in the recycle bin

    You need a program like active delete.. its good.. you might be able to get a *trial* version from somewhere.
    Be quick though.. dependant upon hard disk size, the sectors that the pics were on could be re-written over..

    dont save or install anything apart from your chosen un-deleter.

    dont restart until its sorted.

    I managed to do this not once but twice after heavy weekends at college.

    I've got absolutely no idea why but I just came in, highlighted the files, held down shift and pressed delete. Twice.

    ffs the undelete programme told me to restart so i did

    managed to get about 5 of them back

    there were about 400 :cry:

    i must say i'm curious to know how do you managed to highlight several photos, hold shift and then press the delete key, all in swift sucession, by accident?!

    Weirdly enough, he had saved them all in the Football Manager 2005 saved games directory ....I only realised i was deleting photos when names like 'Las Vegas 23' came up :cry:

    ive managed to undelete them but most of them won't open (even though the file sizes are about right for the images)
