He'll be alright with Chelsea's midfield behind him. Those guys could make Heskey a 20+ a season striker.

More i reckon. He'll have an average season, struggle to score more than Lamps, and be worth about ten or fifteen next summer. Chelsea won't win the CL, so Mourinho will find some huffy excuse to quit over, so it doesn't look like he's walking away and quitting.

He's a top striker, as with most foreign players a lot will depend on how quickly he adapts to the English game.

Football's not really geared towards great strikers any more.

aye totally, whether he plays well or not he will lose his value because of his age, but then again i suppose money doesnt matter with chelsea which is what pisses me off about the whole thing.

shevchencko will flop imo, i dont think he will be able to cope with the physical game of the premiership and i think it may be a bit to fast paced for him too, he will score no more than 15 goals imo

not worth 30 million but money isnt really an object for abramovich

I think he has all the right qualities for the premiership. If he isnt a scoring sensation he'll at least lift the team to a higher standard. I reckon his age is the only downside to the price that was paid, cant wait to see him at SJP.
