The managers let him down??? It's his job to appoint managers. Souness and Roeder were never going to go anywhere imo, so it was his own fault.
You cant argue against Sam Allardyce though eh!? But he should go if this doesnt work out. You can argue that he didnt apoint the right people to be manager but either way it hasnt worked out so far. He isnt working out like the managers hes put in charge therefore he should be sent on his way too. But something tells me Allardyce will bring better footy back to St James.
Im a bit yeah n no about Big Sam. People seem to forget he was the main one who was against Roeder getting the job when he did n kicked off cos Roeder didnt have all the right badges to be a manager, not to mention the fact he knocked us back too originally but now he has a 12m carrot in front of him he's gonna take it? He's a dodgy fucker as well and was getting or still might be getting investiagated for something fraud or summit? I slate Shepherd all the time but what you cant every say is that he's tight, he's always always backed any manager with money and in effect we probs havent signed at the time shite players we have just made them shit. Gonna be interesting anyways, as far as Michael Owen goes i will be happy with another season from him but i cant see him staying any longer - i dont think anyone expected us to be in the sorta position we are now when really we should be guaranteed European Football with the support and players we have. I wish he had kicked off a bit more than he did, then we mightnt have been stuck with the fucker for the whole of the past season. I think theres certain aspects about him which will improve us a lot like the fitness and injuries and man managment, but time will tell wether he can turn us into a team that can actually win something, and wether he is just a one-trick pony with regards to the physical long-ball system. If he can keep players off the treatment table, and get them well organised and actually have some tactics I think the fottball will take care of itself. I think anyone that Shephard appoints will struggle to win the fans over 100%, if it had been a new chairman that made Allerdyce manager people would be a lot more positive. Everyone seems to be looking to knock him before he's even became manager, because of the mistakes Freddy has made in the past. Personally I dont care for one second he used to play for the mackems, and he can take as many bungs as he wants if it gets us a team full of top class players!
