Class movie. I love the way you can sense what freedom must be like after spending years in prison at the end of the film. Seems to be a bit of a lads film though. I remember in A-Level Media studies when everyone had to write down their top five films. Just about every lad included Shawshank, no lasses did though.
One of my most fave films, along with Green Mile, Jurrasic Park, Man on Fire and Crash was added to my top faves last week OOOOH OOOH and Goonies
My lass would put this up there with her fav films tbf. Although she only just watched it for the first time a couple of months ago, she loved it. Defo one of my fav films. The scene where they're all on the roof top, just after he gets hung over the edge, when they're all drinking beer
Mint actor like talking of him, City of Ember. Tim robins is in it and tells the storey through some of it, excellent film.
Ill 2nd that! Pulp fiction, resevoir gods and The Departed are also up there. Dont think iI could do a top 5, as theres loads more i could list. Especially if you include comedys
