Shackleton Saw this again over christmas. For those that don't know, its the (true) story of Sir Ernest Shackletons expedition to Antarctica in 1914, which, shall we say, had a few complications. I'm not normally much one for flag waving and drum beating, but my god when the King was giving Shackleton the flag before he set off, I was marching round the room chanting Rule Brittania and advocating military action to reinstate the empire. What an utterly incredible tale of human (British) endurance, survival, spirit and persistence. Magnificent
